Regional Workshops

2027 Midwinter Workshops

We are currently looking for hosts for our 2027 Mid Winter Workshops for 
January 30 and February 8, 2026
If your council can offer a space for up to 50 women to meet for a few hours, please reach out to Celina at [email protected].

We will provide the activities for the day - all you need to do is provide us with the space and lunch (we will reimburse you for).

The Edmonton Provost and Red Deer Regional Workshop will be held by ZOOM on Saturday, January 22nd beginning at 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  The registration link is:

The workshop is for all CWL members, please share with your members.

The Edmonton-Jasper and St Albert-Lloydminster Regional Workshops will be held by ZOOM on Saturday, January 29th beginning at 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  The registration link is:

The workshop agenda is attached.  We will hear two presentations during the workshop. The first is
an initiative to help individuals escaping Human Trafficking through a program call IWIN (I am worth it now!) and an opportunity to become involved with this work.  The second is a presentation by Dr. Eugenia Pancetta-Kowalczyk, Edmonton Archdiocesan Synod Coordinator, she will introduce the Synod Process in our Archdiocese and how to become involved. 
 
We encourage all members to attend the workshop for their Region however you are more than welcome to attend on the alternate date for the other regions, if you are unable to attend the workshop for your region.   The registration links are posted on above.

2020 Regional Workshops are set:
  • January 4, 2020 Edmonton - Jasper Region workshop at Holy Family Parish in Parkland County
  • January 18, 2020 St. Albert -Lloydminster Region workshop at Our Lady of the Angels Fort Saskatchewan
  • January 25, 2020 Red Deer Region workshop at St. Mary's Red Deer

Bring Items for the Refugee Bag Project!

Refugee Bag Project Items

For Members attending the next two Regional Workshops, the following are items needed for the Refugee Bag Project:

Personal Care Items:
The collection or purchase is of toiletries and other sundries:
Tooth brushes, Tooth Paste, hand soap, shampoo, lotion, deodorant: for men and for women, razors and shaving cream for men only, hair brushes, finger nail kits, famine napkins, sometimes towels and face clothes are requested Also stationary items as pens to note books.

Children's items such as: Colouring books pencil crayons, small stuffed animals and playing cards.

Current calendars and reusable grocery bags.

Monetary donations can be made using the Parish Remittance Form www.edmontoncwl.org/reports-and-forms.html ​
